I was intending to write an article about the benefits of weight training with regard to weight loss, when I found the below article. I have found that adding some weight training to my routines I am getting much better results with my weight loss goals (down from 98kg to 89.5kg - aiming for 85kg), so I began to increase the intensity of my weight workout and I'm noticing even more benefits, along with the positive effects on getting my weight under control I am noticing greatly increased strength and stability, and it is helping me get back to where I used to be in my martial arts training much faster. I would highly recommend adding a weights routine to any exersise routine.

We all have expectations, some positive some negative, usually you find you will remember the negative expectations more often that the positive ones unless you make a conscious effort to focus on positive expectations. Having a positive expectation of life is part of the concept of the ""Law of Attraction"", but what happens if you expect something mediocre to occur and it results in something much better, how does that fit under the LOA way of thinking? Well it happened to me recently, and I think I can explain how it occurred for me. I was awaiting my final university results, and I expected I would only get median results as I had taken on an extra unit to help finish off my studies, this had placed extra pressure on me and with a job change and a few other things I did not put the effort into my studies I felt I should have. So when I received my results, I was happy to find that I had done extremely well, so how did this occur when I fully expected only mediocre results? |

Finally after 7 years I am able to return to my training in Kyokushin Karate due to other commitments. Over my extend break from full time training, I have kept in close contact with the club and especially my instructor who is also a friend. A few months ago my instructor told me Shihan John Taylor was coming to our dojo to train, and as I had not seen Shihan for at least 8 years, I decided to make some time and attended training while he was in the area, it was great to see him again and train under him once more and boy did my body tell me I was out of condition for at least about 2 days afterwards…. After this training I was even more committed to returning to training once my other commitments had settled down, most people would assume that this was just one of those idle promises to myself, and that I would not actually get back into it and just continue as I had for the last 7 years. |

During a meditation exercise recently, I was looking for an answer to a simple and I’d guess a relatively common question about increasing my progress towards a goal, the goal answer I was seeking was quite specific, but instead I “received” a more generalised answer. |

Keyboard short-cuts I found on dumblittleman.com Productivity Ninja: 101 Ways to Rock the Keyboard If you use your computer a lot -- and let's face it, you do -- you've got to stop using the mouse if you want to be at all productive. You know that. You use the common keyboard shortcuts. But are you maximizing your keyboard ninja skills? Rate yourself by seeing how many of the following 101 keyboard shortcuts you actually use. 100 points or higher is the Ninja rating. And yes, you'd have to use both the Mac and Windows OS's to get that rating. A true Ninja works independent of the OS. |

I've just found this little short-cut on Lifehack.org that I had to share. Sad part is I think I'll actually use it quite a bit now I know it (is that an indication I spend too much time on the web??) Quick .com Address Bar Shortcut A friend of mine had an idea for a USB device to extend a ‘.com’ button to the keyboard. This meant all the people typing ‘.com’ into address bars could save a few seconds and buy another silly gadget. The dream has been shattered. Maybe you know this already, but most browsers already come with a keyboard shortcut for ‘.com’. Not only that, but ‘.net’ and ‘.org’ are also covered, as well as the ‘www’ prefix. - Type a word into the address bar, then hold down the Ctrl button and press enter…voila, the http://www and .com are magically appended…
- Now, type a word and hold down the Shift button and press enter … voila, the .net extension is appended..
- If you hold down Ctrl+Shift and press enter, the .org extension gets added..
