| Increasing Fruit in your diet |

After following Steve Pavlina's 30 day raw food trial, earlier this year I decided to start increasing my own fruit intake One thing in several of Steve's posts he was noticing some dry skin problems, this is something I have noticed myself recently, With the increase of fruit in my diet (mostly in fruit smoothies) I have noticed my own skin and lips becoming drier than normal. To counter this I've been drinking more liquid and eating more oils and this appears to have helped. But with the increase of fruit in my diet I'm finding it gives me more clear and focussed energy during the day, and it is helping reduce my weight a little (I'm happy with my current weight, but can still afford to lose upto 5 more kilograms without becoming too "lean"), Just as a side note, I am not a vegetarian as Steve is, so this effect is not really related to vegetarianism but more to the high consumption of fruits. I would still highly recommend eating more fruit or drinking fruit smoothies but just be aware you may notice some dry skin problems even though they are easy to deal with it is annoying. I'd also recommend having a read of Steve's 30 day raw food trial, It was an interesting experiment and very well documented throughout. I believe he has continued with a raw food diet after having some bad experiences when he returned to cooked foods, I will probably never go down Steve's path fully, but his experiement did get me to look at my diet and consider eating a lot more fruit, I was like a lot of people and had concerns about the impact on my body of such a high level of sugar, but as Steve found (and I can now confirm) it does not cause blood sugar spikes or "highs and lows" like refined white sugar does.
