Expectations PDF Print E-mail

We all have expectations, some positive some negative, usually you find you will remember the negative expectations more often that the positive ones unless you make a conscious effort to focus on positive expectations.

Having a positive expectation of life is part of the concept of the ""Law of Attraction"", but what happens if you expect something mediocre to occur and it results in something much better, how does that fit under the LOA way of thinking?

Well it happened to me recently, and I think I can explain how it occurred for me. I was awaiting my final university results, and I expected I would only get median results as I had taken on an extra unit to help finish off my studies, this had placed extra pressure on me and with a job change and a few other things I did not put the effort into my studies I felt I should have.

So when I received my results, I was happy to find that I had done extremely well, so how did this occur when I fully expected only mediocre results?

While I felt like I had not done all that well in my study I did believe that I had worked very hard and had done the best I could with the other constraints that were occurring at the time. This is what I believe may have helped me achieve such good results, while I felt like I had not put the effort in that my studies deserved, I had put in as much as I possibly could and this was enough to achieve good results.

So the moral of this story...

Don't give up!! If you have a lot of issues going on and even though you may not feel you have put enough effort into something, just keep going, do the best you can and you will likely be very pleased with the result. The most positive things often happen after pushing through a busy or testing time.
